Triple Clamps mounted on 1977 Bultaco Pursang frame

Mounted the triple clamps today.  Bottom bearing must be pressed on.   I then set the stem in the frame, placed the upper bearing in the upper race, and used the top nut to press the upper bearing onto the stem.

Suspension parts came today for 1977 Bultaco Pursang Model 192

The suspension kit came today Bultaco Motorcycles.  The kit consists of Progressive shocks, new fork springs, spacers, fork seals, and fork covers. 

Pirelli MT16 tires arrived today

Bought these from BikeBandit for the 1977 Bultaco Pursang.  Very good reviews.  80/100 21 for the front and 110/100 18 for the rear.

Fork disassembly for 1977 Bultaco 250 Pursang MK10

This is what the main components look like after disassembly.  The first step is to drain the oil from the forks.  The next step is to remove the allen screw from the bottom of the fork leg.  I found this to be easier if the springs are still in the forks.  The pressure from the fork springs help keep the cartridge from spinning.  After the allen screw is removed the fork tube should easily separate from the lower leg.  At this point the cartridge will still be held to the fork tube by an inner snap ring.  Use snap ring pliers to remove the snap ring and the cartridge should release from the fork tube.  Next remove the snap ring that sits on top of the fork seal and carefully remove the fork seal.  I put the fork leg in a vise and use a small pry bar, but it's really important to apply even pressure and not crack or distort the fork leg.

Set the stand up under my OSSA Stiletto.  Really easy to adjust and very stable.  I definitely recommend it.

Tusk motorcycle wheel truing stand

This arrived in the mail today.  It took about fifteen minutes to assemble.  It was fairly easy despite the lack of instructions.  About $70 on Ebay with free shipping.  It worked really well.  It's sturdy enough for home use.  

My one complaint is that it didn't come with an allen wrench.

Vintage style MX motorcycle stand by O.C. Powerstand

I picked this up on-line for my 1972 OSSA Stiletto.  The Stiletto has a down pipe so a modern MX stand doesn't work.  It's a bit pricey but really well made.  It comes with welded tabs and straps to secure the motorcycle to the stand.
