1973 Greeves Griffon Enduro on display at the 2013 Idaho Vintage Motorcycle Show -- Caldwell, Id
Just have to comment. I bought a new '72 250 Griffon from Dynamic Cycle in Lachine Quebec. I loved it. I purchased a desert tank from Hyland Crowe in England, similar to the one on this one. Greeves were great handling motorcycles, but, damn, the transmissions were made of glass. We replaced the gears with the NEW gears, then the broken shafts with the new, stronger shafts, then the new reinforced case came. Sigh! They were still one of the prettiest out there. Why were all of my favorites the ones that gave me the most grief??

ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your comment. It's always great to hear from someone who actually owned and road the motorcycle.
