1969 Honda CB160 barn find on display at the 2013 Retro Riders Show -- Pasco, Wa.
I have a non running one of these sitting in my garage, though mine is the black and not red. I know it needs a new battery, and I think the carb replaced, some chrome work and some other odds and ends. I am looking to sell it and trying to look around and figure out a good asking price. Do you have any idea? If so, would you mind dropping me an email at adam.landes@yahoo.com. Sorry if this seems like a strange request, but I came across your post here and you seem to know quite a bit about bikes. It deserves to go to somone who can appreciate it and not just sit in a garage anymore. Oh, and I do not have the title if that makes a difference. Thanks for any insight you can give me.
According to my latest edition of the Comprehensive Vintage Motorcycle Price Guide the price of a 1969 Honda CB160 can range from $400 to $1,900. The low range needing a total rebuild and the top being museum quality. Having a title does affect the price as it usually takes more effort and money to get a new title if the motorcycle didn't already have one (and in some states it's almost impossible to obtain a new title). I have also found this price guide is sometimes on the high side. I would suggest searching EBay and Craigslist for comparisons.
