1962 Triumph Thunderbird 6T1 sold for $17,000 at the 2017 Mecum Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction
Very nice bike, do you know if the bathtub was steel or a fibreglass replica like most of the bikes for sale on this side of the pond? Most of the bikes over here were turned into cafe racers and the first thing to bite the dust were the heavy bathtubs! While I'm here, thanks O.M.D for posting stuff on your blog, I check out your stuff for all those hidden gems that are often overlooked and which are sadly ignored by the majority. Keep The Faith.
I didn't check to see what material the bathtub was made from. I'm hoping that for the price it's real steel. Really happy that you are enjoying the blog. I grew up with motorcycles so they've always been a part of my life. I'll keep posting. Still a lot of pics from Mecum and then onto Bonham's.

ReplyDeleteI love the rear body section and front fender on this model.
