1910 Yale on display at the St. Francis Motorcycle Museum -- Kansas
The United States Postal Service allowed motorcycles on routes from about 1906 until 1915. I think it was up to the local carriers to determine what kind of motorcycle was used, so a Yale like this could have been used on a rural route. By the way, I knew none of this until your comment peaked my curiosity. So thank you very much.
