1971 Honda SL70 sold for $6,050 at the 2019 Mecum Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction
Bought this same bike new, taught all 4 sons and many others how to ride it , commuted to work on it . Still have it , still licensed , still ride it on the road , still explore wilderness areas with it , entered it in two parades. Put a 125cc Lifan engine in it (kept the original engine, still works) awhile back. Now it has so much torque you almost can not stall it. Doesn’t look new anymore.
I had this exact bike, purchased new in Woodland Hills Ca. I was 7 y/o Forget the name, it was a dealer on Ventura Blvd.
ReplyDeleteThere's a few pix of me floating around on it in a field in Chatsworth Ca in 1972
Great story. Thanks for sharing. You must have been the envy of the neighborhood.
