1953 Harley-Davidson Hummer ST-165 on display at the Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum -- Hood River, Oregon
One heck of a machine. I put over 100,000 miles on mine. Sold it for $75 in '59 when I went into the Navy. Hershel Curtis, Harley dealer in Sheffield, Alabama, was going to order a 100,000 pin for me, but died while I was in Boot Camp. Just knowing I earned it is enough. Paul Weinbaum, Las Cruces, NM.

Paul,
ReplyDeleteGreat story. 100,000 miles is quite an achievement. You must have gotten to know the little Harley pretty well.
Does anyone think that this Bike would make it up Pikes Peak ????
