1987 Honda XLV750 RF sold for $2,420 at the 2021 Mecum Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction
that would be a bike I would certainly enjoy modifying. red seat cover. paint heat shield/muffler black. all red frame and motor and fenders. paint the tank solid red red Oury grips and red assed fork boots. remove all the street parts and install motocross tires. install a red CR 80's style front number plate. $2420 is a very affordable price for such a cool substantial bike.
