1966 Garelli Rex 125 on Display at Vintage Moto -- Denver, Co
I Have a 1963 Garelli Rex KL125 with 94 miles on it. Needs a scrub to be near mint. Trying to get an idea of what it is worth. Looking for a good place to sell it as well
This is a hard one. First off, I've only seen one Garelli and that was almost six years ago in a Museum in Denver (which has been closed for a few years now). I have seen small Italian street bikes in good condition sell at auction for anywhere from $3,000 to $10,000. You could try contacting the Italian Motorcycle Owners Club, but if it's really rare they may not be able to help. Another option is to list it on eBay with a really high reserve. Before doing this make sure you know exactly what the listing fees are so you don't get burned. Still another option is an auction house like Mecum. Keep in mind they may not be able to help you with a cost estimate and their listing fees can be pretty high (plus the transportation cost to get the motorcycle to auction). Hope this helps. Would love to hear how things go.
