1970's BSA Double Engine Drag Bike on display at the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum -- Birmingham, Al.
As a Former BSA Dealer until they Folded, This Drag Bike is Awesome. Those Amal GP Carbs are Huge (maybe 1-1/2" ?) Joe Hunt Mags ? I wish I knew what they were using for Cams/Valve Train. We raced A65/70 AMA DT back after the AMA 750 Overhead Rule came about in 1969. Back then most Racers used Sifton Cams/ Valve Train, and had head work done by Jerry Branch of C.R.Axtell, Mikuni Carbs,ARD Magneto, etc. I wish they would have posted a Left Side Photo so I can see how they attached the Primary Drive Setup. Our Bikes w/ Open Megaphone Exhaust sounded Awesome, This Twin Engine Dragster I'm sure sounds like Thunder. Using that Large of Amal GP's makes me think it's using Alcohol. Neat Bike!
