1971 Kawasaki A7 SS Avenger on display at the 2015 Retro Riders Vintage Motorcycle Show -- Pasco, Wa.
NICE RIDE.. I BOUGHT THE A-7 SRAMBLER 1N 1971 WHILE STATIONED IN NORTH DAKOTA FOR $600 CASH- RIGHT OUT OF A COFFEE CAN..ROAD IT BACK TO MICH. IN 36 HOURS- EVERY 100 MILES I TOOK A MUCH NEEDED BREAK! SEIZED THE ENGINE... UNDER WARRANTY, THANKFULLY- OIL PUMP SYSTEM WAS FLAWED- STARTED ADDING OIL TO GAS...NO PROBLEM ...LOVED THAT RIDE..HOW MUCH WILL YOU TAKE FOR IT? THANKS, JOHN
Thanks for the story. Thanks for asking but I can never sell this bike. It belonged to my son's Father-in-Law Steve. I saw it for the first at my son and future bride's rehearsal dinner. I tried buying it for almost a decade with no luck. A few years ago Steve became ill and a couple of months before he passed he offered to sell it to me. When I go it will pass to my son.
isn't that your Avenger?
ReplyDeleteYep. Still haven't won any hardware, but it's great to share its story.
