ReplyDeleteYep. Prices are going way up. Don't know why, but thought I buy one cheap. Fix it up, ride it awhile, and maybe sell it some day if prices hold.
DeleteI have a strong feeling Hodakas are like VW busses in that everyone loves them and its past time to pay attention. everyone is like, "oh man, I should have got one before they got so freakin' expensive." and I promise they aint gonna get cheaper or easier to find. I would ride it rarely for short period of time on clean surface then change the oil and clean out the carb and clean out the gas tank, then wax it and park it back in the living room on a 1970's milk crate for gazing upon in admiration.
ReplyDeleteGreat comparison. Back in the 60s who would have believed that in 50 years some would cost over 6 figures. $100,000 plus for a VW bus. Crazy. I hope you're right about the little Hodaka.
