  1. A late post for sure, but these bikes, the CB450's are still one of the best bikes Honda has ever made

I presently have two 1968 Black Bombers as well as a '64 250cc CL72 and a '66 305cc CL77 as well as a couple of SL250's and a 2004 VT750 Shadow Aero, all of which have very low mileage, due to having an average of 22 to 28 bikes in my "stable" throughout the the last thirty years, read that as a Very understanding Wife of 47 years!

The 450's are phenomenal machines and the only changes I've made are to the saddles and handle bars, plus a set of Bates megaphones for the tone, and for the street these are amouug my favorites, right up there with my two 1972 BMW R75/5 750cc which only produce a few more H.P. than the CB450's (!). Like I said they are still as amazing today as they were then because they were built to perform and better yet, to last.

    1. It's never to late to post. Love to hear about personal collections and experiences. I thing 1968/69 were high water years for Honda. My personal favorites are the 68 CL350s, the 69 blue mini trails, and the first year CB750, but the 450s are right there and who doesn't love torsion bar valve springs.
